To keep Henry W. Coe State Park open for three years, the Coe Park Preservation Fund will need to raise nearly a million dollars. Spread that over Coe Park's 87,000 acres, the "adoption" cost for one acre is about $11.50, the cost of a couple of large cups of coffee at Starbucks. Aiming a bit higher, the "adoption" cost for 640 acres — one square mile — is about $7,360.
To completely cover the cost of staffing and maintaining Coe Park for three years will obviously require large corporate donations and grants from charitable foundations, but you can help too.
Please consider adopting a few acres of Henry W. Coe State Park, the magnificent Wilderness Next Door.
